If Catcher Characters had Social Media by: Emily Daugherty

Catcher in the rye is set in the 1950’s, but what would it be like if it was set in 2019? More specifically, what would the character's social media be like? This is what I think my favorite character's social media would look like if the story was placed in 2019.

This is Maurice's eBay account where he's selling prostitutes like Sunny, but don't quote him on that price ;)

Here we have Holden, which I'm not sure if he would have an Instagram because of all the phonies on there, but he gets to tell all zero of his followers they are dumb and useless so at least there's that.

Mr. Spencer would definitely have a Facebook. He's an older man who is trying to help a student and keep them on the right track. Too bad he has the flu. Guess we'll all pray for the poor old guy.

Stradlater is such a player, there's no doubt he wouldn't have a tinder. He's just looking for another victim to give the time in Ed Banky's car, unfortunately, it'll happen whether they like it or not.

And of course, we have Ackley. He's just a weird pimply kid. So, of course, he'd have a MySpace. I decided to give him a little extra pizzazz and make him write a few songs. Too bad no one really likes him enough to listen to them.
