Is Hamlet Really a Hero?

The thought of whether or not Hamlet should be considered a really hero is the play Hamlet is a conversation that requires a lot of analyzing the text to make points on why or why not he is a hero. I personally think that Hamlet is a hero because of the decision that he makes at the end of the book. as seen in the end, hamlet decides that even though he is going to die, he is going to eliminate all of the monarchs of the country so that the evil in the center will be rid of. I think this decision made by Hamlet was just a representation that even though he was about to die, he still was able to make the best decision for his country and the people in it. although Denmark would have shortly after been taken over by the evil Fortinbras, at least in hamlets mind it wasn't at the control of the living devil.

clearly there are also multiple reasons that show why Hamlet would not be considered a hero. over all, he treated his family, the people that loved him, and others around him like complete crap. he caused Ophelia to go into a mental state that led to her drowning herself. After hearing someone behind the curtain, he killed them immediately without knowing who it is. he rewrote what Claudius had sent to Europe and told them to kill his college friends, who he had previously made dun of for doing what ever Claudius wants. Hamlet also disrespected Laertes by interrupting his morning time for his dead sister by jumping around here grave, trying to prove to him that Laertes love was nothing compared to his own. Overall, there are multiple points that represent whether or not Hamlet is a hero. even though he made that very important decision regarding his country before he died.
