Hamlet V.S. Laertes

       These two characters are definitely interesting ones and have a lot to do with the character Ophelia who is Laertes sister and Hamlet's lover, girlfriend, or none of those at all? One this is for sure, she is dead and this causes some interesting tension and consequential deaths from her own family and Hamlet's as well. Believe it or not, Hamlet and Laertes have a lot in common despite their bitterness toward each other in multiple films and in the novel as well. For example, these two characters have both lost their fathers and do not have the most stable mothers considering they are deceased as well. Unfortunately, the families of both characters are very confusing of very dead but despite this, there are still some notable differences and topics up for debate. For example, Hamlet loses his father and mother in a short span of time while Laertes has lost his mother a couple years back and heard of his fathers death after Hamlet killed him. But, then again, Laertes also losses his sister which is soon after his fathers death and this cannot be fun to experience. Hamlet on the other hand, does not have any siblings and cannot relate the grief of Laertes losing his sister unless there are some unspoken siblings and some fooling around the reader is not aware of within the royalty of Hamlet.

       If there was some unknown siblings to Hamlet, that would definitely be more interesting and spice up the play a little more because who knows, they might as well start a blood feud between the two crazy families. In the end, the two fight their way into the family end up killing Claudius and Gertrude which is everyone important in this novel not including Horatio. Classic Shakespeare ending.
