Should Romeo and Juliet be considered a Classical Love story? I think that it should not be considered a love story. It is definitely a classic read all across The United States in high schools. The play written by William Shakespeare tells the story of two teens who took their lives because of their love. The play takes place over four days and will very much make you question it.
Why not a love story? To some people Romeo and Juliet is the best love story and that’s fine if you agree with that. But Romeo meets Juliet at the start of the play and decides that he loves her even though he had just love another person. He was envelope ranting to his friend that he loves her and only her. Then he sees Juliet and decides that they were meant to be. He just drops the fact he was just rejected not even a day ago.
Why only Classical? I would consider it classical because it has been read millions of times. The story is over all a good one. Almost every high schooler in The United States has read Romeo and Juliet. The play has been around for hundreds of years and is widely accepted and used. So Romeo and Juliet Should be considered classical but not so much a love story.
