Opinions on the End of the School Year
The school year has come to an end, however the piles of school work is increasing. I like the end of the school year but I hate that it comes with a lot of school work, and exams. Although the teachers do a lot of projects, give out exams, etc. they also are a lot more lenient and do more fun activities, along with outside time that we never had time for during the school year. I am so thrilled for this Kings Island trip, and going on a more intricate trip than the ones we used to go on before. I really like rollercoasters and hoping to get to ride most of them if not all! With all this good comes the bad, such as leaving behind my classmates that I have grown so close to with. Along with my classmates leaving behind certain teachers.
Personally, the end of the year is dreadful in my opinion. The workload is excessive and the amount of pressure they put on us students is unacceptable. Our school only cares about the numbers we receive on state tests and it is mentally draining. This time of the year is more stressful than any other time of the year. There is very little time to raise your grades, and it you get a low grade here the people make you feel like you are stupid. It is truly not like other high schools and i wish that in the future kids who attend CPA will not have to deal with that.
However on the more positive note, we typically get to go outside very often. We get to look forward to prom and field trips that come along with the end of the year. This is the beneficial part of being in a non-ordinary school. You get to experience things that other students would not experience. Such as prom, typically that would be available to only upperclassman. However, attending a school like this does come with further consequences.
